Love Tempo w/ guests Sal P. (Liquid Liquid) and Aaaron Dae (Dae Recordings) – Saturday December 18th, 2010

This month’s Holiday edition of Love Tempo welcomes Sal P. (Liquid Liquid) and Aaron Dae (Dae Recordings).

Aaron and I recently met while I was rockin’ BLT’s monthly party, Legwarmers. Aaron was celebrating his birthday and surely enjoying himself. He would step over to the booth occasionally and with the most respect, suggest tunes to rock. Every cut he mentioned was spot on! This is all it took for me to invite him down to Love Tempo. Aaron has been very busy in this thing we call dance music… He is a dj, promoter, label owner and obviously has a strong love for music and honest, this cat is one all around cool dude. Last year I headed over to Lincoln Center to check my friend, James Duncan. The bit I got was that James was playing guitar and opening for Liquid Liquid.. What?! Liquid Liquid at Lincoln Center?!?! And James is playing guitar in a band before them?! HA! Come to find out James was part of the 500 guitar concert (i think they got 300 to play) and did in fact open for Liquid Liquid. LL came on and this was the first time I ever saw the band play live. With Sal P. on vocals and percussion, they sounded great! Although the volume was a bit on the low side. Sal had a comment about the low level…something about this being “their home” and LL was just a guest. It was a respectful jab at the establishment. This was the point I learned to really like this cat. And it was obvious the invitation to play Lincoln Center was a respect shown to LL and well deserved. I am very excited to have Sal come down to Love Tempo. It’s quite an honor to have an artist that influenced the music I make share his musical loves with us. Currently Sal can be found djing music around town and around the globe at guest spots for some very groovy parties. Love Tempo – Saturday November 20th, 2010

On Saturday, November 20th this month’s edition of Love Tempo welcomes back Peter Reyes.

I  think it’s becoming obvious how much I enjoy Peter gracing the decks.   Did you know he has over 50,000 records, is in the disco hall of fame  and has been dj’ing since the mid 70′s?  I think we call easily say…  “nuff said”

As always, I (drilla) will be rockin’ the boogie all night long.  Expect groovy music, good people and good vibes.
